What to Expect

When you visit our office, you will be warmly welcomed and we can answer any questions you may have about completing the paperwork so that Envision Boulder may see you. Our team will work together to evaluate your eyes and provide relevant eye care treatment information, review your vision benefits and payment options, fit you for glasses or contact lenses, and focused on exceeding all of your expectations. If at any time you have questions about the process or your specific health information, please ask.

Payment Options

Envision Boulder believes in providing the best value for you and your family. We have products and pricing that aims to accommodate all budgets and our office participates in most insurance programs. For patients who have little or no vision insurance coverage, flexible payment programs may be arranged. To learn more about our payment options, please call our office directly.

Our office accepts cash, check, and major debit and credit cards including MasterCard and Visa, as well as Care Credit.

Routine Vision Insurance

We participate in most of the major vision insurance plans that emphasize professional eye care and quality eyewear in a private practice setting.

Most of us understand that healthy eyes and good vision are critical to our daily lives and that the best way to ensure both is through comprehensive routine eye exams. Unfortunately, some insurance plans either do not include coverage for routine vision or offer it only at “discount” or chain locations. Our patients have made the choice to be as selective with their vision care as they are with their other health care providers, even if that means seeing us outside of their insurance plan.

If you have an insurance plan that we cannot bill directly, we will provide you with the appropriate paperwork to submit for any out-of-network benefits you may have. Whatever your vision insurance situation, we can help you understand your coverage and maximize your benefits.

Major Medical Insurance

Among the benefits of having regular comprehensive eye exams is the potential to detect not only eye disease but systematic conditions as well, such as diabetes and hypertension. If, during your exam, any disease is detected requiring additional testing or treatment, these services typically must be billed to your major medical insurance, not your routine vision carrier.

Don’t forget to use your:

  • Flexible Spending Plans
  • Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
  • Medical Savings Accounts (MSA)
  • Cafeteria Plans for most of your eye care needs

All of the above plans can be used for all your eye care and eyewear needs, including eyeglasses, contact lenses, routine office visits and medical office visits.

Care Credit

The Care Credit card is available to help people pay for health care expenses, often with an introductory period that is interest-free. We accept Care Credit for all of our services. To learn more or apply for the card, visit Care Credit here.
